Celebrating 50 Years of Ringette in Walden!
The 2024-25 season marked a major milestone for us...our 50th anniversary! For half a century, Walden Ringette has been a cornerstone of sport, friendship, and community in Greater Sudbury, and we’re just getting started.
Founded in 1974, Walden Ringette has proudly grown into one of Northern Ontario’s most vibrant ringette communities. Whether you’re new to the sport or a returning player, there’s a place for you in our history and our future.
We operate on two home rinks: T.M. Davies Arena (Lively) and Chelmsford Arena, making our programs both local and accessible.
We’re more than just a ringette association, we’re a village. Coaches, volunteers, families, and teammates come together to support every athlete, both on and off the ice. At Walden Ringette, we focus on:
Ringette isn’t just about the game, it’s about lifelong friendships, building confidence, learning teamwork, and creating lasting memories.
We welcome athletes starting as young as age 4, with divisions spanning from FUNdamentals to Open. Whether you’re just learning to play the game or looking for competitive play, our programs meet you where you are and help you grow from there.
We also offer:
The only thing better than playing ringette is playing it with Walden Ringette. We’re always looking for new players, volunteers, and community members to join our growing family.
Want to be part of the next 50 years? Register here and come skate with us!
Ringette is more than a sport...it’s where lifelong memories begin.
Here’s to the next chapter of our legacy. 🏒??
