Respect in Sport - Parent Program

Mandatory for the 2025-26 Ringette Season

Ringette Ontario requires that one parent or guardian of every ringette player under the age of 18 complete the Respect in Sport Parent Program before that player can participate in ringette programming.

Completion of this course is mandatory for player registration to be approved.

What is the Respect in Sport Parent Program?

The Respect in Sport Parent Program is a 1-hour online module that helps parents and guardians:

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of their child

  • Encourage positive, respectful communication

  • Understand the roles of coaches, officials, and volunteers

  • Enhance their child’s overall enjoyment and development in ringette

This program reinforces the importance of creating a safe and supportive environment in youth sport, both on and off the ice.

Key Details:

  • Required for all players under 18

  • Cost: $12 + tax

  • Format: Online and self-paced

  • Transferable: Valid across other sports using Respect in Sport
